When did you start Djing?
I was putting mixtapes together when I bought my first tape to tape player in the 70’s then in the early 90’s I started playing a weekly vinyl show on the pirates in Sheffield.

What is it about thing the makes it interesting for you?
There’s just so much excellent music out there & when I find it, I want to share it.

What makes you decide to play a certain record during one of your sets?
Watching the floor to see what’s working while mixing in new tunes I want to try if I think they’ll fit the mood along with throwing in occasional classics from way back when.

What’s your opinion on the importance of roots, traditions, respecting traditions and sources?
I sometimes feel like I’ve probably danced my ass thru a lot of it lol & I think it’s brilliant that artists today have the programs that enable them to use all of that history to create something new & their doing a top job of it.
